Pauline Edmiston
Transformation Team Co-ordinator

Hello, I am Pauline and I coordinate the work of the Transformation Team based in Glasgow.

As part of the team I support my colleagues in their community development work and also try to ensure we are linked into key policy, partners and individuals who can offer additional resources and insight to the faith groups we support as they work to make their neighbourhoods even better places for everyone to live in.

I have been challenged, inspired and overawed at the giftedness, passion and generosity of those who are there for their communities, in both the good and worse times and have worked alongside local people, mainly in a faith based context, for over 25 years. One day asked one question too many about faith and how it works in the world and community and instead of getting an answer I was encouraged to go and do a bit of study which eventually led to gaining a degree at Glasgow University.

My ‘growing up’ was done in Pollok, Glasgow but later moved to Ayrshire when I married and later moving to Dumbarton to work in a church project in 1996. My husband and I have 2 great daughters and a young granddaughter. In my personal time I am keen on coastal walks and keener still on avoiding hillwalking!. I use reflection on natural habitat and the brilliance of those I love, or work beside, as inspiration for my hobby of textile art.
