Madrassa Zia Ul Quran provides for the educational needs of Muslim children and adults in the Pollockshields area of Glasgow. They also engage in activities with other groups to build relationships and increase understanding between people from different backgrounds in the area.

They received a grant of £5,000 to buy three laptop computers and fund the provision of ICT classes for local Muslim women, with the aim of increasing their skills and confidence to access wider opportunities.

“The computer course was a course I took to learn new skills and I really enjoyed it.”

Kauser Mohammad

“I have been on the computer course run at Madrassa Zia Ul Quran which I have found it very beneficial to me. It has allowed me to work on my computer without fear and I am now able to do a lot more than I could before the course.”
