Fife Arabic Society aims to increase interaction and understanding between the Arab community and other groups living in Fife. They seek to promote dialogue and work with the belief that the problems of poverty and exclusion need to be tackled in partnership.

Fife Arabic Society received £10,000 over two years to fund a women’s activity programme and other social, cultural and awareness raising events.

“I was glad to meet some of the big crowd attending this cultural and sports event. The food was lovely, the women looked gorgeous and everyone was happy to mix together in such lovely surroundings. They were from a large variety of countries, identities and cultures, and I’m sure many have a wide range of different concerns.”

“Although I’m a good swimmer, this was the first time in 16 years that I had the chance to go to a swimming pool. Many thanks to the people who provided the opportunity, it was great.”
